John Mould was born in 1958 and grew up in the small village of Barlaston in Staffordshire.
As a child, John’s fascination for animals grew with him, and where possible John would nurse sick and injured animals or birds back to health. It was this close contact with animals that led John to start drawing and eventually painting wildlife, striving for accuracy.
He began gaining commissions to paint peoples’ domestic pets. At the age of nineteen with an every growing reputation John became self employed and produced artworks for companies: Wedgewood, Spink, Coalport, Gorgon Frazer and Wildlife sculptures for Waterford.
